About Me

Hi! My name is Kian and I’m an OC kid. I grew up in Orange County, California, with a small Persian family (50 at a family gathering instead of the usual 200 in Iran). My dad’s the Persian teddy bear and my mom is the terrifyingly cute tiny Japanese lady. I went to school at Pitzer College, where I first started to tutor kids and College students in Math and Science. I graduated with a major in Mathematics. From there I went to serve in a Non-Profit City Year, where I served as a student success coach, tutoring 9th grader for a year. After that experience I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a stand up. During the day I spend my time tutoring and at night you can find me on the stage!

I love helping kids be learn, grow, and gain confidence. Mathematics and Science can be such powerful mediums to help kids learn how to problem solve, handle setbacks, reframe mistakes, and grow. You just need the right guide.
